I am sharing in these pages some of my thoughts on one of the issues most have faced everywhere, namely leadership crisis. Very often the ones who lead the blind could be sightless as well. Also those who appear at times good shepherds may be wolves in disguise.
I raise issues such as what makes a good shepherd, and how we can identify a wolf in disguise. I argue extensively that instead of treating their flock as a separate class, the shepherds need to identify themselves with their sheep, willing to learn with them. I also suggest that the clergy should be relieved from all administrative responsibilities so that they can take care of their pastoral responsibilities effectively.
These thoughts were developed in the context of a discussion in an online forum which consisted of the members of the Indian Orthodox Church. However, these insights may be applied to any situation where leadership crisis is prevalent.
